Is the Pixel 11 right for you?
The Pixel 11 is the standard model in Google's 2026 Pixel series, for people who want Google's software, Tensor G6, and long support at a lower price than the Pro models. It has a 6.3-inch 1080 x 2424 OLED display at up to 120 Hz, 12 GB of RAM, and a 4,985 mAh battery in a 197 g body with an aluminum frame and IP68.
It shares the Pixel 11 Pro's screen diagonal, chip, IP68 rating, charging figures, and seven-year update promise, and it has a slightly larger battery capacity. The $200 difference at US launch ($899 against $1,099) buys the Pro a higher-resolution 1280 x 2856 LTPO panel, Wi-Fi 7, different listed camera resolutions (50 MP main, 48 MP ultrawide, 48 MP 5x telephoto, and a 42 MP front camera against 48, 13, 10.8, and 10.5 MP here), and a 16 GB RAM option. Resolution alone establishes neither sensor size nor photo quality.
Both have a 5x optical telephoto, which among the Samsung phones here only the Galaxy S26 Ultra has; the Galaxy S26, at the same 6.3-inch size, has a 3x telephoto and launched at $899.99. Google counts its seven years from first availability on the US Google Store, so a phone bought later has less time left.
A good fit if
- You want a 5x telephoto and seven years of updates without paying for a Pro phone.
- Battery matters: Google lists 4,985 mAh, more than the Pixel 11 Pro.
- You want a 6.3-inch phone that is easy to hold.
Look elsewhere if
- You want higher listed camera resolutions and a higher-resolution display: the Pixel 11 Pro offers both at the same screen diagonal, though megapixels alone do not establish photo quality.
- You want a bigger screen and faster charging: the Pixel 11 Pro XL is 6.8 inches.
- You want a lighter compact phone with a 3x telephoto: the Galaxy S26 weighs 167 g.
Which configuration to choose
Every Pixel 11 has 12 GB of RAM, so the choice is 256 GB or 512 GB. The US launch price was $899 for 256 GB. Buy the model made for your region: GPQQ7 in the United States, which adds mmWave 5G and dual eSIM, and GUJ0N everywhere else, including Japan, with a nano SIM slot and eSIM. Google lists the same four colors, Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Obsidian, without regional limits.
