Is the Fairbuds 2 right for you?

Fairbuds 2 is for listeners who want to keep a sealed ANC earbud set through a worn battery or a lost component. Fairphone lists seven replaceable parts, including the batteries in the earbuds and case. Consider whether access to those parts in your country will still make a repair practical before buying an imported set.

The connection features also suit a phone-and-computer setup: two devices can remain connected, while six pairings can be remembered. LDAC is an additional option for a compatible Android source, not a guarantee that every connection uses it. Keep the battery modes separate when planning a trip: Fairphone quotes six hours with ANC on; eight hours and the 40-hour case total use ANC off.

ACCENTUM True Wireless is a useful catalog alternative if two-device multipoint and Qi charging are your priorities. Its manufacturer publishes a security-support end date, whereas a fixed Fairbuds 2 update period is not confirmed in the checked sources. Decide whether replaceable batteries or that documented support schedule addresses the reason you are replacing your current earbuds. Neither feature establishes sound quality or noise-canceling performance.

A good fit if

You want to replace a worn earbud or case battery without retiring the complete set.
You use an Android phone and a computer and want documented two-device multipoint.
You can buy replacement components in your market and want a choice of Forest Green or Horizon Black.

Look elsewhere if

You need immediate US delivery: Fairphone's US listings are Coming soon, with November availability announced.
You want Qi charging or a stated security-support end date: compare ACCENTUM True Wireless and its dated support policy.
You need eight hours of claimed listening with ANC enabled; Fairphone's eight-hour claim is for ANC off.

Which configuration to choose

Both colors have the same recorded audio and memory configuration; RAM and storage do not apply. The European store lists Forest Green AU2FEAR-1GR-EU1 and Horizon Black AU2FEAR-1ZW-EU1 at EUR 119. The US store lists the matching US1 color SKUs at $119.99 but marks them Coming soon, so that is an advertised store price, not a currently buyable offer or a verified launch price. The EU1 versions are sold through Fairphone's shared European store, with shipping territory exclusions and possible local tax differences. Choose the store serving your destination rather than treating EU1 and US1 as interchangeable proof of local availability. The quick-charge claim differs between official pages, so no quick-charge duration is used here. Confirm current part-specific repair instructions before ordering replacement components.

Bluetooth codecs: AAC, SBC, LC3, LDAC

Connectivity

Connectivity: Bluetooth 6.0; two simultaneous connections and up to six remembered devices; USB-C charging.

Design

Weight: 5.8 g

Battery

Listed battery duration: 6 h
Battery conditions: Manufacturer claims: up to 6 hours per earbud charge with ANC on, 8 hours with ANC off, and 40 hours including case recharges with ANC off. These are different conditions, not a matched comparison with other earbuds. Volume and codec test conditions are not confirmed. Official regional pages disagree on ten-minute quick-charge playback, so no quick-charge duration is recorded.

Durability

Water resistance: IP54 dust and splash resistance. The checked specification does not separately establish a charging-case rating.

Compatibility

Platform features: Google Fast Pair; two-device multipoint; Fairbuds app on Android and iOS with four presets, five-band EQ, and firmware updates. Seven user-replaceable parts include earbud batteries, charging-case battery, outer case, and individual earbuds. A fixed firmware/security-support duration is Not confirmed; repairability is not a dated software-support commitment.
Works with iPhone: Supported
Phone requirements: Standard Bluetooth audio works with Android and iOS. The Fairbuds companion app for both platforms provides EQ, presets, and firmware updates. Fairphone limits its improved LDAC performance claim to Android; the source device must support the chosen codec.
