The Galaxy Buds4 are Samsung's open-fit noise-canceling earbuds, while Buds4 Pro use a canal-fit design. The base model lists Bluetooth 6.1 with LC3 and Auracast, and 24-bit Hi-Fi audio on compatible Galaxy phones, in a lighter 4.6 g earbud. Choose the physical fit before comparing driver specifications.
Samsung quotes up to 5 hours per charge with noise cancellation on and 24 hours with the case, or 6 and 30 hours with it off, measured in its own tests with a Galaxy phone. The earbuds are rated IP54; that rating does not establish sweat resistance. Samsung says the charging case is not water resistant and advises against beach or pool use.
Compared with the Buds4 Pro, they use a single one-way driver instead of a two-way design, lack voice and siren detection, and are rated IP54 instead of IP57. On a non-Samsung Android phone, several features, including UHQ audio and AI features, are not available.
The Galaxy Buds4 come in one configuration with no memory or storage options. Compare their open fit with the Buds4 Pro's canal fit first. Pick the Buds4 if their listed noise-control and Galaxy features cover your needs; consider the Pro for voice and siren detection, IP57, or Samsung's longer quoted playback time under its test conditions.

Samsung says basic Bluetooth audio connects regardless of OS. Its compatibility table lists Android 12 or higher with more than 1.5 GB of memory; the Galaxy Wearable app and advanced features have separate phone requirements. UHQ 24-bit audio and AI features require compatible Galaxy devices. Basic iPhone Bluetooth audio does not imply Galaxy app or feature support.
