Is the HONOR MagicPad4 right for you?
The HONOR MagicPad4 fits a buyer who wants more screen area than the 11-inch Galaxy Tab S11 without moving to the 14.6-inch Tab S11 Ultra. Its 12.3-inch OLED panel runs at up to 165 Hz, and the tablet weighs about 450 g. Those specifications make screen size and carrying weight useful reasons to consider it; refresh rate and chipset names alone do not establish how an app will perform.
The trade-off against those Samsung tablets is protection and connectivity. The European MagicPad4 information sheet lists IP40, which provides no water protection, while the Tab S11 models list IP68. The checked HONOR stores offer Wi-Fi configurations. A buyer who needs built-in mobile data should compare a cellular Galaxy Tab S11 configuration rather than assume that a different MagicPad4 memory option adds cellular service.
Regional names require particular care. The international MagicPad4 has a 12.3-inch OLED display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. HONOR identifies the same YLE-W09 model as MagicPad3 Pro 12.3 in China, where extra memory combinations are sold. China’s MagicPad4 12.1-inch LCD tablet uses different hardware. Match the model identifier, screen specification, local software, and accessory package before comparing an import with a local offer.
A good fit if
- You want a 12.3-inch OLED screen between the catalog’s 11-inch Galaxy Tab S11 and 14.6-inch Tab S11 Ultra.
- You use Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot and want a tablet listed at approximately 450 g.
- You can choose the regional bundle deliberately: Malaysia lists a keyboard, Magic-Pencil 4s, and adapter in its standard package, while the UK box list differs.
Look elsewhere if
- You need water protection or built-in mobile data: check the IP68-rated Galaxy Tab S11 and its regional cellular configurations.
- You need a larger drawing or side-by-side workspace: Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra provides a 14.6-inch display.
- You require a confirmed Android version-upgrade count or exact security support end date before buying; the checked HONOR sources do not establish those worldwide.
Which configuration to choose
For the checked international stores, start with 12 GB / 256 GB if that storage fits your apps and local files; it is offered in Gray and White. The 16 GB / 512 GB option doubles storage and increases physical RAM, but is Gray only. The UK store lists GBP 599.98 and GBP 699.99 respectively, before promotional codes; compare the current local bundle as well as the tablet price. Malaysia’s 24 GB and 32 GB RAM Turbo labels include storage-backed expansion: the physical RAM is 12 GB or 16 GB. China’s YLE-W09 configurations add 8 GB / 256 GB and 12 GB / 512 GB under the MagicPad3 Pro 12.3 name. Do not assume that the shared identifier makes regional software, included accessories, or update commitments identical.
