The Galaxy Watch9 is Samsung's everyday smartwatch for Android phone owners. It comes in two aluminum sizes, 40 mm and 44 mm, weighing 31.5 g and 34.0 g, both with sapphire crystal and a display rated up to 3,000 nits.
It shares its processor, sensor set, and Wear OS 7 software with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, including dual-frequency GPS. The differences include resistance ratings, size, and battery capacity: 5ATM and IP68 instead of the Ultra2's dive certification, and 390 or 445 mAh batteries instead of 800 mAh. Samsung does not publish battery-life hours for either watch.
It only works with Android. Activation needs a phone with Google Mobile Services, so it cannot be set up with an iPhone, and some health features need a Samsung Galaxy phone.
Pick the size first: 40 mm for smaller wrists and the lowest weight, 44 mm for a larger screen and the bigger 445 mAh battery. The Bluetooth model relies on your phone for data; the 44 mm LTE model can take calls and messages away from it. The sources used for this record do not list a 40 mm LTE model, so if you want LTE, the 44 mm is the confirmed option.
Covers every recorded configuration. When a value varies by configuration, the model numbers it applies to are listed under it.
Match the regional model numbers to the confirmed markets below. These countries are verified by official sources; configurations and local stock can differ.
