Is the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra right for you?
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is built for people who want the largest Android screen for drawing, note-taking, reading, or working with apps side by side. Its 14.6-inch 2960 x 1848 AMOLED display runs at up to 120 Hz and has an anti-reflective finish, which helps under office lights and near windows.
It is unusually complete out of the box: the S Pen is included, storage can be expanded with microSD cards up to 2 TB, and it carries an IP68 rating, which is rare on tablets. Samsung fits an 11,600 mAh battery with 45W wired charging into a body 5.1 mm thin and 692 g for the Wi-Fi model.
The size is also the main reason to hesitate. A 14.6-inch tablet is large to hold in one hand or use on a small table, and the included S Pen does not support Bluetooth features such as remote shutter control. Samsung's launch materials do not state an update commitment for the Tab S11 series.
A good fit if
- You draw, annotate, or take handwritten notes and want the pen included.
- You work with two or three apps on screen at once.
- You want expandable storage and water resistance in a tablet.
Look elsewhere if
- You mostly read or watch video in bed or on the go: a smaller tablet is easier to hold.
- You need S Pen remote features that rely on Bluetooth.
- You need a stated update commitment before buying.
Which configuration to choose
The US Wi-Fi models come with 12 GB of RAM at 256 GB and 512 GB, and 16 GB at 1 TB. Because microSD expansion up to 2 TB is supported, the 256 GB model at the $1,199.99 launch price is usually enough, with a card for media and files. Choose the 5G model, which uses a different model number, only if you need mobile data without a phone hotspot.
