Is the Galaxy Tab S11 right for you?
The Galaxy Tab S11 is the 11-inch model in Samsung's 2025 flagship tablet line, for people who want a premium Android tablet they can hold in one hand for reading, note-taking, and video. Its 2560 x 1600 AMOLED display runs at up to 120 Hz, and the S Pen comes in the box.
It shares the important parts of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra: the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, 12 GB of RAM in every configuration, microSD expansion up to 2 TB, 45W charging, and an IP68 rating, which is rare on tablets. The body is 5.5 mm thin and 469 g for the Wi-Fi model, against 692 g for the Ultra.
The trade-offs are the ones that come with the smaller size and lower price. The screen is 11 inches instead of 14.6, the battery is 8,400 mAh instead of 11,600 mAh, Wi-Fi is 6E rather than 7, the display has no anti-reflection coating, and there is one rear camera instead of two. As with the Ultra, Samsung's launch materials do not state an update commitment.
A good fit if
- You want a flagship Samsung tablet that is easy to hold and carry every day.
- You take handwritten notes and want the pen included.
- You want expandable storage and water resistance without paying for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra's larger screen.
Look elsewhere if
- You multitask with several apps side by side or draw on a large canvas: the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra gives you 14.6 inches.
- You often work near windows or bright lights: only the Ultra has the anti-reflective display.
- You need a stated update commitment before buying.
Which configuration to choose
Every configuration has 12 GB of RAM, so the choice is storage and connectivity. The 128 GB Wi-Fi model at the $799.99 US launch price, with a microSD card for media, covers most people; 512 GB is not sold in every market. Choose the 5G model, SM-X736B internationally or SM-X736N in South Korea, only if you need mobile data without a phone hotspot; it is not sold in the United States, Canada, Japan, or Mexico.
